The Importance of Environmentally Friendly Packaging and our Commitment to a Greener World
Noticed that our product packaging has changed? Ensuring our boxes are quick and easy to recycle was the driving force behind this change. At antennaPRO and Amphenol Procom, we are committed to making positive changes to our environment by minimising waste and maximising the amount of packaging that can be recycled.
We have made the decision to shift towards plain cardboard in an attempt to make the recycling process of this packaging quicker and simpler. Whilst this packaging no longer has a print of our logo, we believe it is a worthwhile trade-off, and more importantly a step towards a sustainable practice going forward.
It is important to highlight this change does not impact the quality of our packaging, with products still being provided with the protection they require. There is an array of long-term benefits to using print-free packaging, most of which were eye-opening and were the catalyst to making this change happen.
Long-term benefits of print-free packaging:
• Easier recycling process: Eliminates the need for as many chemical stripping processes during recycling, making the process quicker and more efficient.
• Reduced chemical pollution: Removing printed ink from our packaging prevents any potential toxic compounds from entering the recycling stream.
• Less material, same protection: Removing the printed design does not come at the cost of reduced product protection. Customers can be assured their products will be provided with the adequate protection during the shipping process.
This may be a small change, but it forms part of our commitment to making sustainable choices today that create a responsible future tomorrow and beyond.
