Case Study: PRO MA21SC marine VHF antennas, As Used by Ryde Inshore Rescue
We recently had some great feedback from Ryde Inshore Rescue regarding the quality of our PRO MA21SC marine VHF antennas which they have installed on their latest boat, a 8 metre RIBCRAFT.
Ryde Inshore Rescue is an Independent Lifeboat station based on the Isle of Wight. They are on call to HMCG 365 days a year and operate two inshore lifeboats from their headquarters at Appley. As a declared service they attend a variety of incidents from boats running aground on the infamous Ryde Sands to children getting swept out to sea on inflatables in offshore winds.
Ady Farrell, Coxswain for Ryde Inshore Rescue, said, ‘On our previous boat, which we had for over a decade, we had small tiny whips onboard which we found to be quite ineffective. So, we have gone onto Amphenol Procom antennas which are very good. We now get reception in places where we wouldn’t usually get reception…which is so important in Search and Rescue. We are very impressed with their quality.’
Thanks for the feedback, Ady. If you want to find out more about Ryde Inshore Rescue visit their website at
